I am having a difficult time with priorities. I knew I would have a hard time with sticking with schedules since I always find more bits to work on even after the time limit ends. But priorities… I thought since I have my values set, I’ll have better understanding of what I should be focusing on first, second and so on.
But what am I meant to do when urgent works with same value piles up?
No. 3 of the 7 habits talk about putting “not so urgent but important” plans first in your schedule and filling the rest with “urgent and important” plans. As those are often enough things that could improve your quality of life, but never get done because our lives are always being chased by “urgent and important” to do list. My examples for “not so urgent but important” list includes going to English conversation /pronunciation class and work on the “th” sound etc, as that would help me get over my fear of people not understanding what I’m saying a little. And another one would be to sit down with my brothers and just have a long chat we’ve been keep on missing the chance to.
Though I have put everything I could think of on my schedule after doing WOOP and MAC scheduling technique, 1000days are quite difficult to plan…. and I just won’t stop amazing myself with finding so many thing to do.
According to Chrono type, I am a bear type just like the half of the world. (there’s bear, lion, wolf and dolphin types) So I need my 7 hour sleep and I should be going to be some times around 11. But when urgent work piles up and you want to get through with your “not urgent but important” things planned for the day, naturally there’ll be less time for sleeping. When you don’t get good enough sleep, you cannot focus, or motivate yourself.
The moral of the story is, that the sleep is Important. Great Daigo puts sleep on the top of important things to have for you to life a mentally and physically healthy like, before exercise and meditation.
I just need to f*ing priorities sleep right now.
